Really.
I was a skeptic until I purchased a rack of Prime Dorper Lamb, standing rib roast for $24.00/lb… “Really?” My wife fixed it up for dinner on new years eve of 2018 and I became obsessed. The next year was spent researching studying the foraging habits of various breeds of prime lamb producing sheep. The Dorper not only won us over with its superb meat quality, but also with its ability to produce a succulent, clean tasting meat holistically with a 100% organic grass fed diet. The seed stock for Fort Worth Dorpers was selected from a happy flock in Millsap, Texas known to produce winning show specimens in both the ram and ewe categories as well as providing proven seed stock Dorpers to other commercial operations around Texas.
It is our hope that Fort Worth Dorpers can produce quality meat for the enjoyment of our friends and family, and maybe convince our cowtown neighbors that there is such a thing out there as prime lamb.
